One thing i have noticed recently is the amount of content out there dedicated to making money on blogs. In fact, if you really pay attention to the top blog sites out there and what the majority of their content is, you would notice that they all discuss how to be successful at blogging. They discuss what search engine optimization is, how to make money off blogs, how to create a blog, using adwords, using meta tags, etc… the list goes on and on. So basically, these sites are making money off the topics of how to make money. Isn’t that genius? I certainly think so. Hopefully once i make money i can just dedicate this site to how i made the money. With that in mind here is a top 10 list of the best “how to blog” articles i have found in my research.
1. Make Money Blogging - this is one of many of probloggers.net blog writeups and its a good one. Its a list of his top 10 revenue sources for his blogging websites.
2. Make Money with your blog from A to Z - an A to Z list of the different ways to make money off blogging from Amazon Associates to Yahoo Network.
3. How to Start a Blog - a nice little write up on how to start up a blog - very easy to read and very informative - discusses the everything from publicizing your blog to what services are available to use.
4. Wordpress - this seems to be the blog software of choice for a lot of the serious bloggers and even some big name websites such as cnn, new york times, people, etc…
5. Blogging Toolbox - a comprehensive list of blogging resources - useful for noobs like myself and veterans as well.
6. 101 Essential Blogging Resources - sort of the same thing as above but in a very nice, neat easy to read format.
7. Blogging for Beginners - another problogger gem - has write ups on just about everything a noobie blogger would ever need from starting a website to ad optimization.
8. Top 10 Tools to get Blogging Done - I really liked this write up as it had some neat tricks for noob bloggers to make blogging easier. Had a lot of stuff not in other write ups.
9. 55 Essential Articles every blogger should read - this is another compilation of blogging information. It has sections of links starting with blogging basics to building meaningful content to seo optimization.
10. How to announce a blog - this is one i really wish i would have read before i put out my awful blog. A small write up of what the title says, how to announce your blog.
Well thats my list of some of the better articles i have read on blogging. One site you can pretty much bank on is probloggers.net site. He always seems to have great articles for beginners and veterans alike. One would think that with all that reading i would have a much better blog. Oh well i am working on it.
